​About the Author

 

Ryan O'Neill grew up in Superior, Wisconsin, the fourth of five children. He fell in love with fantasy from an early age after his father first introduced him to the Lord of the Rings. His first book didn't come until much later, however, and as the result of a challenge from a friend. That novel was Dark Tidings, the first book in the forthcoming Darkborn saga. In addition to writing he enjoys scuba diving and, of course, remains an avid consumer of speculative fiction. He currently resides in Orem, Utah.

Ryan is the author of Useless: A Novel of Progression and The Darkborn Saga, an ultimately hopeful dark-fantasy series beginning with Dark Tidings and continuing in Shadows of the Forgotten. He is currently working on several new projects both within and without the universes his readers have come to love.
